It was probably expanded. More content than what
made it to the big screen.
Or you just imagined it was in the movie. I'm
willing to bank on either explanation.

I've never heard of scenes being deleted from a home video release.
If you're referring to the "Deleted Scenes" feature on most DVDs, those are
extra scenes that didn't make the final cut of the film. They're included
because people like to see them.
